How Many Calories Should I Eat in A Day for Weight Loss?

How Many Calories Should I Eat in A Day for Weight Loss?

If your guess is under 2,000...You’re wrong.

Here’s a secret–you can eat more than you ever have before without restricting calories or limiting carbs, fat grams, or sugars.

The days of controlling your portion sizes at each meal are gone… If you want them to be, that is.

As a holistic nutritionist for nearly twenty years, I have tried everything mentioned above.  I counted every calorie, measured every fat gram, and controlled my portions at every meal. And none of it worked.

Not until I tried something so unconventional and so “backward” did I finally see real results.  Eating more is what finally got me to lose weight. And not just more of anything, but MORE CARBS.

I Want to Eat More Carbs

My Story

I struggled with my weight for a long time. I belonged to not one but two gyms, heavily restricted calories, and yet still struggled to maintain my figure.

Now, I effortlessly maintain my figure with little thought behind it. I eat whatever I want, whenever I want.

And sometimes… That looks like 3,000 calories in ONE day.

It may sound too good to be true, but trust me.  It IS true. This information literally changed my entire life. And now it’s your turn to do the same.

Common Misconceptions about Dieting and Weight Loss

There are two very dated outlooks on weight loss–restricting calories and restricting carbohydrates.

Ever wonder why you eventually feel awful when you limit your calories or cut your carbs? It’s because your body needs them.

Calories and carbohydrates work together to help you feel full and keep you energized.

They play a vital role in your overall health and well-being.

It’s important to note that it's not how many calories or carbs you're eating, but the quality of them. 1,200 calories from a drive-thru meal compared to 1,200 calories from a nourishing salad full of fresh vegetables or a bowl of oranges are two completely different things.

One has a ton of additives, seed oils, processed wheat, added sugars, and virtually no nutrients… while the other is made-up of whole, nutrient-dense foods.

Stop cutting yourself short by counting calories and cutting carbs from your diet. You’re doing yourself a disservice.

Enjoy Eating Without Restriction

You can lose weight without being restrictive.

Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, and healthy whole grains, like brown rice, quinoa, and white rice. Enjoy plenty of steamed or baked potatoes of any variety. And do not limit the amount of fruit you eat. Have a bowl of strawberries… Or two or three.

What you should restrict is heavily processed foods. Most items you find in a package are riddled with tons of refined sugars, preservatives and additives, fortified vitamins, toxic seed oils, and other chemical concoctions that do not contribute to weight loss. In fact, they do the opposite by causing inflammation in the body.

Think about it–if there is only one health food section in the store, then what is the rest of the store? JUNK.

I have told my clients this for years, and now I am telling you, too. Say goodbye to restricting carbs for weight loss.
