We have a Quality Assurance team with extremely high standards for juices and smoothies. Every so often, due to the seasonal variability of produce or unforeseen production issues, we get a batch of juices that doesn't quite meet our standards. These juices are packed with the same dense nutrition as our regular Strawberry Greens. And while they still taste good, the flavor is just a little less than our best.
We gave this batch of Strawberry Greens juice a rating of 7 out of 10 for flavor, because although it is still sweet, it more orange-forward (less strawberry) and is slightly bitter. Due to a less-than-ideal growing season, many juicing oranges have a thicker peel and pith than usual. The pith is where a ton of vitamins and minerals are housed, but can also be somewhat bitter in taste as compared to the rest of the fruit.
Overall this juice is not bitter, just has a slight aftertaste. Enjoy a cold-pressed combination of spinach, strawberry, orange, ginger, yacon root, lemon, & lime.
