High Protein Desserts You're Missing: Vanilla Avocado Mousse Recipe

We know protein is all the rage right now. But you don't have to eat meat to get enough protein!


Many of you ask us for ideas for plant-based high protein desserts and meals. In response to your comments we've created a vegan mousse recipe that is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. 


This vegan mousse recipe uses avocados for creaminess. One avocado has 4 grams of protein! Pair it with high protein plant-based foods like leafy greens or chia seeds and you have an avocado mousse recipe that is a protein-packed meal. 


Vanilla Avocado Mousse 

Ingredients:

  • 2 avocados
  • 4 c. coconut milk
  • 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp. raw honey
  • Fresh berries of your choice
  • 1 TB chia seeds

Directions:

Blend half of 1st four ingredients and berries and put aside. Blend the rest of the ingredients and mix with chia seeds. Spoon in berry mousse and then top with chia mousse. Top with fresh berries.
