Supercharge your guacamole with superfoods!

This recipe takes guacamole to the next level by incorporating two of the most nutritious green superfoods: kale and moringa. You're probably already somewhat acquainted with kale's health-boosting properties, but have you heard the buzz surrounding moringa?

Meet Moringa

The leaves of the moringa oleifera tree are unbelievably nutrient-dense! Typically sold in powdered form, this superfood is packed with protein, amino acids, potassium, calcium, iron, and vitamins A, B, and C. Moringa’s antioxidant capacity is greater than some of the most well-known antioxidizing superfoods including acai and goji berries, green tea, and dark chocolate. It’s great for strengthening your immune system, boosting your energy levels, and promoting healthy digestion. Why not sneak some moringa into your snacks?

Snacking on a Cleanse

If you're already on a juice cleanse and feel the urge to eat solid food, guacamole served with sliced vegetables is a great snack choice that won’t sabotage your results. It's also a quick and easy recipe to make when you're easing your body into or out of a juice cleanse by eating lighter plant-based foods!

Recipe: Superfood Guacamole


  • 3 avocados
  • ¼ cup massaged kale*, finely chopped (*before chopping your kale, add a drizzle of olive oil, salt, and a few squeezes of fresh lemon juice. Massage until kale starts to soften and wilt.)
  • 1 red onion, diced
  • ¼ cup cilantro
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 3 tsp. moringa powder
  • salt & pepper to taste


In a large bowl, mash your avocados with a fork. Fold remaining ingredients into your avocado mash until they are evenly combined. Season with salt & pepper and serve!
