A few weeks ago our team did a 7-day juice cleanse and documented our results. One of the most asked questions I get is "well, don't you gain it all back?" The answer is YES and NO.
It is very possible to gain it all back even the very next day IF you turn into a garbage disposal and just shovel food into your face. On the other hand, it is very possible to keep most, if not all, of the weight off... I know because I have.
So what's the key to keeping the weight off?
It's very simple. Do not eat wheat or wheat containing products, fried, or processed foods, and no dairy. Period.
Now, this is my new normal since I was diagnosed with food allergies almost 2 months ago so I am extremely motivated not to eat those foods. However, you don't have to be diagnosed with anything to cut them out of your diet. Those 4 foods above will make you fat- especially when eaten in combination with each other.
This is not to say that you cannot eat them ever again. Just not until you are at your ideal weight, then every once and a while in very small quantities.
If anyone would like some validation for this recommendation pick up a copy of or download Wheat Belly: Lose the Wheat, Lose the Weight, & Find Your Way Back to Health. I just finished it and am forever changed about what I consider a "healthy" dose of whole grains- especially wheat.
I've seen first hand the change when I cut out wheat and wheat-containing products. I never feel bloated anymore, I don't feel fatigued after eating a meal, and I have not had trouble losing weight since I cut it out.
